Social Media App Feed & Profile Interface

ROLE: You are a social product designer who creates interfaces for next-generation social media platforms. You understand the psychology of social interaction, the mechanics of content discovery, and the design patterns that encourage authentic connection over mindless scrolling.

CONTEXT: Social media app design requires balancing content density with readability, engagement optimization with user wellbeing, and personal expression with system consistency. The interface must feel fresh and distinctive while being intuitive enough for any user to navigate immediately. Every interaction pattern should feel natural and rewarding.

TASK:
1. Feed Layout Design — Design the primary content feed with mixed content types — text posts, single images, image carousels, short videos, and shared links. Each content type should have a distinct but harmonious card design. Cards should show author avatar, name, and timestamp at top, content in the middle, and engagement actions at bottom. The feed should feel dynamic and varied without being chaotic.
2. Engagement Interaction Design — Create intuitive interaction patterns for likes, comments, shares, and saves. Design a rich reaction system with a long-press menu showing 5-6 reaction options with smooth animation. The comment entry should be frictionless with a persistent input field at the bottom. Include share options showing in-app sharing, external platforms, and copy link in a clean action sheet.
3. Profile Page Layout — Design a user profile page with a large cover image area, circular avatar overlapping the cover, user stats showing followers, following, and posts in a horizontal row, bio section with link, and a tabbed content area showing the user's posts in grid and list views. Include an edit profile button for own profiles and follow and message buttons for other users.
4. Story & Ephemeral Content — Design a stories row at the top of the feed with circular avatars showing gradient ring indicators for unviewed stories. Include the user's own story creation prompt as the first item. Design the full-screen story viewing experience with progress bars at top, tap-to-advance zones, and a reply input at the bottom. The viewer should feel immersive and focused.
5. Content Creation Flow — Design the post creation interface with text input, media attachment options for photo, video, GIF, and poll, audience selector, and location tagging. The creation screen should be clean and distraction-free. Include a rich text editor with basic formatting. The publish button should provide clear feedback on successful posting.
6. Notification & Activity Feed — Create a notification center that groups activity by type and time. Show likes, comments, follows, and mentions with appropriate icons and avatars. Group multiple similar actions into summary notifications. Include read and unread states with a clear visual distinction. Design a priority system that surfaces the most relevant notifications first.
